About Dan Garson
Dan Garson is a retired Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer with a background in chemical engineering and an MBA. RANDOM MAN is his debut novel. He lives in California.

Background
Dan Garson spent three decades leading organizations in manufacturing, construction, and industrial services — as CEO, COO, and General Manager — before turning to fiction. He holds an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and an MBA.
RANDOM MAN draws directly on that background. Its protagonist Todd Ransom is a chemical engineer who approaches the supernatural the way an engineer approaches any unknown system: by building a classification taxonomy, running the calculation, and accepting that the data is what the data is regardless of how inconvenient it turns out to be.
The book's central argument — that genuine free will requires genuine cost, and that the people you trust most will sometimes let you walk into the damage because the choice has to be real — reflects decades of watching human beings make decisions under pressure.
